Plankton is small on purpose. It is a fleet of little autonomous agents, launched with Netlify Agent Runners, that quietly do the chores I never get around to: bumping dependencies, opening cleanup PRs, and drafting release notes.
I did not write most of the code. I wrote the intentions. Each runner gets a clear brief — “keep this repo green, keep it kind” — and reports back when it needs a decision from a human, or in this case, a shrimp.
The result is that my projects stay healthy even when I am off floating somewhere warm. That is the whole dream of vibe coding: describe the outcome you want, delegate the typing, and stay in the loop only where your judgement actually matters.
Everything runs on Netlify’s platform end to end — runners, functions, and hosting — so there is nothing to babysit and nothing to pay for that I am not using.
